Adult Fitness

Adult Fitness Swimming caters for all abilities from water walking to general lap swimming through to challenging squad style swim sets. Swimming is an excellent fitness activity to get involved in as it offers both a cardiovascular and resistance workout, so you’re getting fit and building strong muscles at the same time. We offer two programs to suit today's busy adult lifestyle, by being able to choose between two pools and different levels of swimming.

The Adult swimming program at Darling Range Sports College is open for adults for recreational swimming on Monday to Thursday evenings 5:15pm – 6:15pm, and Saturday mornings 7am – 9am. No training programs are provided, and the cost is $5 per swim payable to the supervising coach prior to swimming. $5 covers pool entry and lane hire, no coaching is provided, however sometimes our coaches can't help themselves...

The structured Adult swimming program at Guildford Grammar School, is Squad style training with a coach on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (prep pool) and Wednesday mornings (senior pool) 5.45am - 7.15am.

Both pools are closed to the general public, so you’ll enjoy training in just the company of other squad swimmers (and members) in our 8 lane heated pools.

The cost for adult swimming is an annual registration fee of $50 (to cover insurance and membership to BrettSwim) which spans an entire swimming season (Oct-Sept) which is made to Brettswim.  Membership DOES NOT include any membership to Swimming WA or to GKDSC.  Adult swimmers are members of BrettSwim and are not currently affiliated with the club or have access to any club member benefits.

If you are interested in a more casual swim without the program provided by a coach, the program at Darling Range Sports College is for you.  It is a simple $5 per swim paid to one of the pool-deck coaches prior to swimming.  Once you join BrettSwim, you only pay for when you swim.  If you are a regular swimmer you can pay $50 for the month for unlimited swims.

If you are interested in coming along contact Brett Tongue (Darling Range Pool) at brett.tongue@ggs.wa.edu.au or Val Newboult (GGS Pool) 0437 819 723 for more information.

For insurance purposes, you must be a memeber of Swimming WA/GKDSC to participate in the adult swimming programs.
