Did you know Guildford Grammar has its very own Swimming Club?
Guildford Grammar is the host for Guildford and Kalamunda Districts Swimming Club. GK Swim trains out of GGS pools each weekday providing opportunities for your swimmers to improve fitness, develop more efficient swimming techniques, and enjoy competing with a team at your own school pools.
HOW TO JOIN:
Guildford Grammar School students can progress through a clear swimming pathway from GG Swim (Learn to Swim) into squad training with the school, and/or GK, and on to competition.
Students sign up via Clipboard for Swim Club on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings:
• Senior School 6:00am – 7:30am
• Prep Swim Club 6:45am – 7:45am
If you are interested in extending your training to include afternoon sessions with GK, have a chat with Kat McKay (Katerina.mckay@ggs.wa.edu.au) regarding access to more sessions. Swimmers will need to complete a squad trial where coaches will assess suitability for GK sessions, and be graded into the appropriate squad level.
GGS students will receive 1 afternoon per week as a recurring booking, free of charge. GGS students that join GK Swimming Club will receive a second afternoon session each week, free of charge.
Membership with GK is required if students wish to compete in competitions outside of school. There are different membership options which can be found here: 2025/26 Membership | Swimming WA
To access competitions the GK Annual Membership will be required.
Families wanting additional sessions can access a discounted monthly plan (50%). Swimmers joining GK are expected to progress through a structured competitive pathway with racing opportunities (club meets, open water and Perth HPC). If families wish to cancel their training plan, please cancel before the 1st of the month, via the online form.

What will they learn?
Our Junior Squads (Foundation / Development) have a focus on Stroke Development, and Swimming Fitness. This will build the foundation not only for swimming, but a base fitness level to support all kinds of sport. As you progress through the squads you will be exposed more to racing techniques, training for speed, goal setting, and overall fitness.
