Run by Guildford and Kalamunda Districts Swimming Club, we run small class sizes with certified instructers. Our goal is to create confident, strong swimmers able to continue a swimming pathway through the clubs squad program.

We provide a secure and engaging environment for children 4 and older, with small group courses for personalized attention: Stage 1 has 4 swimmers, Stages 2 and 3 have 5, and Stages 4 to 6 have 6. Stages 7 and above accommodate larger classes for increased independence. Our AUSTSWIM qualified instructors, all with current Working with Children Checks and CPR, are dedicated to helping your child master essential swimming skills.

Our programs are designed to equip you with essential skills for safety in and around water. Upon graduation, you'll master key abilities such as treading water, floating, safe entry and exit, survival swimming while clothed, assisted rescues, and basic swimming skills. Get ready to transition from Learn to Swim into our Squad Program with confidence!

Our last stage of swimming is Squad Transition where you will learn the skills required for squad swimming, including how to read a set, swimming off a pace clock, increased swim distances, and other skills to make the transition as smooth as possible.

VacSwim

DR Swim Learn to Swim is operated by Guildford and Kalamunda Districts Swimming Club, a Not for Profit community swim club administered by volunteers.

GK Swim is a Swimming WA affiliated swimming club that requires a Swimming WA membership to participate. Programs range from Junior Squad through to Adult Fit.

GK Masters is a Masters WA affiliated swimming club that requires a Masters WA membership to participate.

All members (swimmers and guardians) are required to comply with all club policies including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, Safe Sport Framework, Photography Policy, and the Inclusion Policy.

DR swim allows families to have one make up lesson per month, under the following conditions:

Families need to login to their Udio account and cancel the swimmer out of the lesson at least two hours BEFORE it commences.
The system will then create a voucher that the swimmer can use to book in for a session on another day.
The voucher has a two week expiry date, please ensure you book into another session by logging in to your Udio account.
It is the responsibility of the families to administer the cancelling and rebooking of any sessions due to absence.
Vouchers are not transferrable between Terms.

Term 4, 2025 Information

The first week for lessons in TERM 4 will commence Monday 13th October and the term will run for 8weeks.

FIRST AND LAST day of lessons for Term 4:

Monday lessons - 13th October - 1st December, 2025

Tuesday lessons - 14th October - 2nd December, 2025

Wednesday lessons - 15th October - 3rd December, 2025

Thursday lessons - 16th October - 4th December, 2025

Friday lessons - 17th October - 5th December, 2025

An account will need to set up before you can enrol into a class.

When first setting up please setup a parent/guardian, and then add your swimmers on to your account. Please ensure you add a date of birth as classes have age requirements - with no date of birth classes will not show.

Udio allows families to login and see the lessons their swimmers are booked into, and also enables make up sessions to be self administered. Click on the link below to set up an account (incl all details - Date of birth AND payment details)

Please read the important information below regarding the learn to swim program:

Located at the indoor 25m Darling Range Sports College Pool (Heated all year to 28')
There is NO public swimming available. Swimmers may only enter the water for their lesson. (No Lifeguards - Your teacher is your Lifeguard)
Community based program. Admin is operated by volunteers from Guildford and Kalamunda Districts Swimming Club. We endeavour to answer your queries as quickly as possible, but this will often be after hours.
Teachers are AustSwim certified, with most being former or current swimmers from the club.

Payment for the term will be debited before your first lesson.
If payment is not successful your booking may be removed to allow filling from the waitlist.
If you miss out on a spot on a particular day you may use the waitlist option and we will try to accommodate.
