The Kalgoorlie Crackle

I thought a sweet recipe would be fun for everyone. It is easy and quick to make.  Young swimmers through to Masters and coaches will enjoy this wonderful treat.

I took this crackle to Kalgoorlie with Brett and the swimmers for the seniors training camp. It went down very well as some of the seniors may remember. So this is your chance to  share this culinary delight!!!

Ingredients:

60gms Butter

200gms Choc buttons

1 packet of 300gm Large Marshmellows

240gms Rice Bubbles

175gms Choc buttons for topping

Method:

  • Melt butter and chocolate in a large saucepan.

  • Add marshmallows a few at a time and keep stirring.

  • Once melted pour into rice Bubbles (in separate large bowl).

  • Work quickly and stir with a metal spoon - once mixed pour into a greased baking tray.

  • Spread mixture and smooth out with the back of a metal spoon.

  • When cool spread melted chocolate on top and smooth flat.

  • Place in fridge to harden.

  • Cut into squares to eat.

YUMMY.

Enjoy your treat!
